WHIPSTOCK HILL OUTCROP
A spectacular outcrop of
folded limestones was exposed by highway construction in 2003 on the west side
of Bennington, southwestern Vermont, USA. This is the Whipstock Hill
roadcut (aka the Bennington Bypass roadcut) as it looked in September
2006. The rocks here are part of the Bascom Formation (Lower Ordovician).
