Solenastrea hyades
Well-preserved fossils are abundant in the Lower
Pleistocene Croatan Formation (a.k.a. James City Formation) of eastern
North Carolina, USA. Here's a nice specimen of the scleractinian
coral Solenastrea hyades (Dana, 1846) showing nicely radiating
septa in each corallite.
